From a Hebrew Customer Support Call to AXOVATE: 14 Years of Building Multilingual Customer Operations
Fourteen years ago, I answered my first customer support call in Hebrew.
I had no idea that call would lead to this.
At the time, it was simply another customer interaction. But over the years, as I worked with different businesses, teams, and customers across multilingual markets, I began to notice the same challenge appearing again and again.
Companies didn't just need people who could speak a language.
They needed people who could understand not just the language, but the culture, expectations, and context behind every conversation.
That distinction changed the way I looked at customer operations.
The Gap Between Speaking a Language and Understanding a Customer
A customer can hear their own language and still feel misunderstood.
Fluency is important, but effective customer operations require more than vocabulary and grammar. They require cultural awareness, communication skills, product knowledge, empathy, and an understanding of what customers expect from a brand.
This becomes even more important when a company operates across multiple markets.
A customer in one market may communicate differently, have different expectations, and respond differently to the same process than a customer somewhere else.
For businesses expanding across borders, building teams that can manage these differences can become a significant challenge.
That gap stayed with me. And eventually, it became the reason I founded AXOVATE.
Why AXOVATE Exists
AXOVATE was built around a simple idea:
Customer operations should be more than outsourced support. They should be designed around the customer's experience, the company's goals, and the realities of each market.
Today, AXOVATE is a remote-first Customer Operations Partner, built on more than 14 years of hands-on multilingual experience. Learn more about our story and team.
We help startups, SaaS companies, and enterprises build and scale customer operations through specialized teams, AI-enabled workflows, multilingual expertise, and remote-first delivery.
We don't simply provide support agents. We build customer operations.
From Customer Support to Customer Operations
Traditional outsourcing often focuses on individual tasks: answer calls, reply to tickets, handle chats, resolve issues.
These functions are important, but they are only part of the picture. Customer operations bring together the people, processes, technology, quality management, and customer experience systems that allow these functions to work together.
At AXOVATE, our goal is to help businesses build operations that are:
- Multilingual โ designed to serve customers across different languages and markets
- Human-led โ powered by skilled professionals who understand the customer behind the interaction
- AI-enabled โ using technology to improve efficiency, workflows, and quality
- Remote-first โ allowing businesses to build teams without the cost and complexity of traditional physical operations
- Scalable โ designed to grow as customer volumes and business needs change
Where Language Becomes a Business Advantage
One of the capabilities that shaped AXOVATE from the beginning is Hebrew Customer Operations.
Hebrew is not simply another language capability for us. It represents years of hands-on experience working with Hebrew-speaking customers and environments.
Today, that experience can support businesses that need:
- Hebrew customer support
- Hebrew technical support
- Hebrew sales operations
- Hebrew back-office operations
- HebrewโArabicโEnglish language capabilities
For companies serving or entering Hebrew-speaking markets, having people who can communicate naturally and understand the cultural context can make a significant difference.
The Advantage of Multilingual Talent in Egypt
AXOVATE is built to tap into Egypt's growing pool of multilingual professionals, combining language capabilities, customer service experience, and exposure to international markets.
For a remote-first customer operations model, this creates an opportunity to connect businesses with skilled multilingual professionals without requiring them to build physical operations in every market they serve.
For us, Egypt is more than a delivery location. It is a source of talent.
Combining People With AI
Technology is changing customer operations quickly.
AI can help automate repetitive tasks, analyze interactions, assist agents, improve workflows, and identify opportunities for better performance.
But we don't believe AI should replace the human element of customer experience. The strongest operations combine both.
| People Bring judgment, empathy, cultural understanding, and human connection. | AI Brings speed, automation, data, and operational intelligence. |
The opportunity is not to choose between them. It is to build workflows where they work together. That is the thinking behind our AI-Enabled Operations approach.

Building the Teams Behind Great Customer Experiences
There is another lesson I learned throughout these years: you cannot build great customer operations without investing in the people who deliver them.
That is why training and continuous development are an important part of the AXOVATE model. Our approach includes onboarding, coaching, quality monitoring, continuous development, and language training.
Talent development isn't separate from our operations. It is part of what makes them work.
What Comes Next
Fourteen years after that first Hebrew customer support call, the vision is much bigger than a single language.
The experience taught me that multilingual customer operations are not simply about speaking to customers. They are about understanding them.
They are about helping businesses build teams that represent their brand, understand their customers, adapt to different markets, and use technology intelligently.
That is what we are building at AXOVATE. Not another call center. Not simply a collection of support agents.
A Customer Operations Partner. One that brings together: People. AI. Languages. Processes.
To build customer operations that work โ and grow with the businesses they support.
